EXCITING NEW TECHNOLOGY
We are very excited about the launch of the new wiki•MHEDA. There have been numerous failed attempts (primarily by industry magazines) to compile a comprehensive Web site where material handling consumers can educate themselves as well as find manufacturers and distributors. Their fault was in disallowing user participation. The material handling industry is very broad, segmented and complex. The only way a Web site can comprehensively cover the material handling industry (and create value to customers) is to incorporate the perspectives of industry experts from every segment.

The beauty of wiki•MHEDA is that manufacturers, distributors and consumers alike can all contribute to its success. As the premier association in the industry, MHEDA has the authority and ability to pull something like this off. The possibilities of where this could go are endless. End-users will be able to exchange solutions to commonplace material handling problems. Manufacturers will be able to identify new market opportunities. Salespeople will be able to quickly identify solutions to even the most obscure material handling quandaries. Distributors who are proactive may even become “resident experts” on certain topics and attract new customers from around the world.
